This educational reading list compiled by the Palestinian Youth Movement, ‘offers historical context on Palestine through the prism of popular resistance’.1 It includes sources in English and Arabic, ranging from political histories, interviews, memoirs, poetry, films, and primary documents.

Palestinian Museum Digital Archive #

The Palestinian Museum Digital Archive is an online collection of various digitised documents including identification papers, official record, letters, diaries, manuscripts, maps, photographs, films and audio recordings ‘under threat of loss, damage or confiscation’.2 The project aims to archive documents to shed light on Palestinian narratives over two centuries and ‘promote a culture of safekeeping’ through digital archiving.

Majazz Project is a Palestinian archival record label and alternative research platform reissuing and remixing vintage Arab vinyl and cassettes. Listen to and buy digital and physical copies of their tracks here.

Palestine Film Institute #

Palestine Film Institute is a organisation born from a shared desire among active film professionals who identify as Palestinians, to create an inclusive body with the mission to develop, promote and empower the community and industry of film in Palestine and for Palestinians worldwide and preserve its cinema.

PFI shares a Film of the Week every Wednesday at 5pm Jerusalem Time, free to stream online.

The Palestine Film Index is a growing list of films from and about Palestine and the Palestinian struggle for liberation - including links to watch online! It also contains a series of texts about Palestinian cinema and filmmaking practices.

Palestinian Embroidery Digital Archive #

Tirazain Initiative is a digital archive of printable tatreez (embroidery) graphics. Each graphic is digitally preserved based on documentation from historical references and should be used and shared with this cultural sensitivity in mind.
