Send e-SIMS to Palestine #
⚡️ eSims for Gaza ⚡️
Version Date: May 16th 2024
An e-SIM is the digital version of a physical SIM card. Mirna El Helbawi, founder of Connecting Humanity (Instagram | Twitter), began eSims for Gaza in response to communication blackouts imposed by israel’s most recent siege on Gaza.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
- Confirm via Connecting Humanity which eSIMs are needed urgently before purchasing from the below options.
- Any amount of data is helpful, however, sources say >20GB is preferrable.
- Only send clear screenshots of QR codes to gazaesims@gmail.com.
- If you did not receive a QR Code, email the relevant customer service representatives for one.
- Do not email receipts, blurry QR codes or any other proof of purchase.
- e-SIMS can take up to a month to activate for a number of reasons, do not send follow up emails regarding the status of your e-SIM.

Crips for eSims for Gaza #
Crips for eSims for Gaza is a fundraiser to send eSims for Palestinians in Gaza. The funds that are raised will be used to purchase eSims by the team of disabled diasporic Asian queer organisers - Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong - who are organising this fundraiser in the spirit of disability justice crowdfunds.

Gaza Online #
GazaOnline is a volunteer effort to provide free eSIMs to Gazan families in order to remain in contact with each other, the outside world, and life-saving emergency services. The initiative was kickstarted by Gaza Sky Geeks alumni and is now being supported by techie volunteers across the world.

Fundraisers for Families & Evacuations #
We want to emphasize this to everyone donating: Palestinians are raising money for evacuations that they may never be allowed to make. Those funds can also cover the horrific inflation, rebuilding costs and hopefully medical care when they can access it again.
We do not impose impossible standards on people going through a genocide. They are going through a genocide. Survival is the most important thing. If the money can fund their survival in any way then it is a worthy expense. We do not condition donations to our people.
You may have noticed some fundraisers have changed their purpose over the months. This is expected in a genocide. The situation on the ground changes so frequently and people are faced with impossible decisions. Who on this planet deserves grace if we can’t give them grace?
Make your donation a promise to our people. A promise to never question why a family needed to feed their children with evacuation money because prices have skyrocketed due to our oppressors blocking aid. We demand more from everyone not currently undergoing genocide.

Gaza Funds (Twitter) is a project organised by a global team of (mostly) Arab and Palestinian engineers, students, writers, and academics that connects people to crowdfunding campaigns for individuals and families from Gaza.
While the rotation is randomized, campaigns for the sick/injured and campaigns close to meeting their goals and those that haven’t had a donation in a while are prioritized. As existing fundraisers meet their goals, they will be replaced with other fundraisers that need our help.

Operation Olive Branch is a volunteer-powered grassroots collective effort to connect with and amplify Palestinian voices in an effort to support their critical needs, which include but are not limited to their mutual aid requests. This global solidarity initiative is steered by a diverse core council of advocates from occupied Turtle Island which include Palestinian activists, the Jewish grandchild of a holocaust survivor, and everyone else in between.
